Each special feature is only relevant to the Mine they belong to (meaning no two mines share the same feature). Each one comes with one special feature that makes finding goods easier for you.
Just like rocks, these can slide downward and explode on contact with something solid (like undug dirt, rocks or the bottom of the Mine Grid). These are stuck in the Mine itself and cannot be moved (but can still be activated). There can be multiple ones located on the Grid and there are 2 different types available. Therefore you cant possibly get an epic Dino actually being stronger than his normal 'brothers'. Since you can only get epics via eggs and I guess nobody manages to get a rank 6 epic Dino before getting the normal Dino of the same kind rank 6. If you choose to dig up one of the Dynamite Sticks to activate it, a tool will be used. From what I see, it is impossible to get an egg from a dinosaur that you have as rank 6 already. First, you need to visit your friend’s Dino Park. There are loose patches of dirt that rocks could easily slide through without having to be dug up. Instead, when you dig solid patches of dirt, rocks ontop would slide to the bottom of the Mine Grid. 
Only the dirt parts of Mines can be dug up (meaning rocks found in the Mines cannot be broken). Unlike normal Digsites, a Mine will have 5 tools instead of just 3, but you will still have access to Dynamite Sticks and Radars. A small sum of gold coins, gem shards and possibly whole gems.
